I have been corresponding with Alan for many years and he is the expert for all the Canadian Yeos. Over the years Alan has sent me masses of information on many of the Yeo families who emigrated to Canada in the 1800's and every so often he produces a brilliant newsletter for all the descendants of Richard and Rosina

Descendants of Isaac & Ann Harvey of St Breward, Cornwall (Walter of Stratton)

David, like Alan (Richards), descends from Walter Yeo of Stratton. Walter was a cordwinder and died in Stratton in 1694. On the left is a photograph of David's grandfather, John, and below is a newspaper cutting on his great grandmother, Emily.

David's great great grandfather was in the Navy and his great grandfather was born in Ireland. The family then moved to Kent.

Dear Sheila, I have been having trouble with my email server, my son tried another "set-up" and that wasn't very good, so I am with a new "set-up", hopefully you will get my message and information....now I have two servers!!! My husband is Trevor William YEO a journeyman plumber born 15 June 1940, Gt Coggeshall, Essex son of James Henry YEO and Vera May POTTER who married 31 Oct 1931 Gt Coggeshall, Essex they had three sons, James Henry Yeo born 4 Dec 1900 Disley, Cheshire, England son of Albert James Richard YEO and Harriet Emma DEAN who married 4 Apr 1893 Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales >Albert James Richard YEO born 9 March 1873 Plymouth, Devon , son of James YEO and Harriet MARCH who married 19 Jan 1868 Plymouth, Devon , James YEO born 27 Oct 1845 Plymouth, Devon son of Isaac YEO and Ann HARVEY who married 10 Dec 1820 Saint Austell, Cornwall We have birth and marriage certificates from St Catherines to confirm all those born after 1837, with census records for each of the families where available. We paid a genealogist a Mr M.J.L.Wicks who researched these next generations, without census and civil registration we don't feel like these are proved lines, only good possibilities. Isaac YEO chr 31 Jul 1796 Saint Breward, Cornwall son of Richard YEO and Elizabeth ? no marriage located for Richard and Elizabeth but an about date of 1785 Richard YEO chr 10 sep 1749 Kilkhampton, Cornwall son of Robert YEO and Elizabeth ELLIOT who married 11 Oct 1741 Kilkhampton, Cornwall Robert Yeo chr 7 Nov 1717 North Tammerton, Cornwall son of Philip YEO and Margaret BOND who married 4 Jul 1704 North Tammerton, Cornwall. I did find some information on the internet that included Richard YEO chr 1749 son of Robert & Elizabeth ELLIOT but their Richard was married to a Mary...if I remember correct. Anyway if you have any information on this line I would be very much interested, my husband is also interested but is still fighting bath tubs and toilets to make a living so I do all the research where possible.
